John Rhoads, and his brother Andrew, started a tree and landscaping business in 1986 that operated in the Dallas area. As the company expanded, stump grinding and removal became a large part of the organization.
In 1996, John and his brother decided to divide up the fast-growing company. John’s interest and dedication was in the stump grinding division, which he took over, naming it John’s Stump Removal.
In 1999, John and his Uncle Ron, acquired the patent and production rights to a stump grinding machine named the Kan-du Stump Grinder, www.KAN-DUSTUMPGRINDER.COM. This versatile stump grinder allows John’s Stump Removal to grind any size stump in most backyards. The Kan-du Stump Grinder has the ability to enter a fenced-in area with a 29” gate access or opening without damaging or having to repair/rebuild the fence. Most of the other stump grinding companies do not have this skill.
John’s Stump Removal performs stump grinding and removal services on both commercial and residential properties. The company can perform deep stump grinding to the depth of 30 inches. A deep grind is necessary if a replacement tree is to be planted in the same spot or in certain construction applications.
They also perform stump grinding and removal for companies that have stump grinding equipment but cannot achieve the kind of results of the Kan-Du Stump Grinder and John’s Stump Removal.
